Yesterday in Art we finished our Christmas Baubles which was really fun. At the start we had to put little droplets of green food colouring on the page, then we cut a straw in half and blew all over the page. We left the page to dry for a week and we started on the baubles, which existed on paper. We painted the page full of colours and we traced circles around the page which were the lines for our baubles. Once we cut out our baubles, we stuck them on the pge and attached them to the top lines of the page. Then we are done. What do you think is the most fun part of making this artwork?
In Art we have been making some shapes out of clay, that is called Ceramics. A lady called Christina came a told us all about how to make a shape out of clay. I made a circle that wasn’t the right shape for a circle because some of the sides weren’t sides! Ha, get it, circles don’t have sides! Now to a serious note, it takes a lot of work to make a perfect shape out of clay. If it was your first time using clay, you will need adult supervision and something to cover what you are using to roll the clay into a shape. If you could, would you use clay?
In Art we created a tile with so many colour’s it was amazing. We used sharpies to colour the tiles and then we put the paint diluter to make big splotches on the sharpies to make the sharpies art! The colour don’t wash of the tiles because the sharpies contain permanent ink, which will not wash away with water. The paint diluter just makes the blotches and makes the sharpies become art!
In Art we made Pebble Art and that means we had to use pebbles and create something. I chose to design birds in a tree. We could use a mixture of pebbles and some twigs and I used both. I really enjoyed using nature to create art which I never knew possible. This is a picture of my artwork:
