Today we had to pick some goals for term 4, luckily I had achieved my goal from last term which was making my buddy talk on the 100 day celebration for the preps. My goal for this term is to make my handwriting a lot bigger and easier to read because next year at high school, I don’t want my teachers to not be able to read my work! Do you have a goal to improve on?
Today we had to make goals to improve on in term 3. My first one is to make my buddy talk. I am determent to make her talk, because for the first two terms I have put up with her just nodding and saying nothing but I have had ENOUGH! A way to help her talk to me is to be friendly to her and help her out as much as I can. My next goal is to not copy people, for an example if I am stuck in maths I will look over to the person next to me and copy down their answer. A way I can help myself is to not to sit near people and that means I can not copy them. My last goal is to work on my spelling because it has gone from bad to worse. A donkey is better at spelling than me and they have a brain the size of a peanut! A way I can help myself is to read because it will stick to your mind, so if you come across a word you have read in a book and forgot how to spell it, you remember you read it in that specific book. Do you think you need to set a goal to help you in your life?
Today we needed to choose something to work on so I thought about it and came up with spelling. I have been told to stretch out the word and spell it with syllables but none of it helps me with my spelling. So what I do is spell it and then give it to the teacher to correct it and there you have it, a nice piece of work. No, I’m just kidding and if you do it, don’t say anything about me telling you. What I actually do is try to think if I have seen that word before and spell it the way I remember it, if I haven’t seen the word I just look through a dictionary and find the word in there. What do you do if you don’t know how to spell a word?
